Horizon Based Ambient Occlusion (HBAO) delivers more accurate AO compared to the other SSAO solutions available on the asset store, and this without any compromise on performances.
This algorithm is highly optimized to use minimal GPU time and offers the best quality to performance ratio. Asset contains color bleeding and temporal filtering features. Gaia extension ready
The effect is scalable in order to achieve the proper performances. Source code is also included in the package file, making it quite the versatile pack. This asset is prefect if you want to create more realistic style games. Sure you could use it to create RTS games but that would be such a resource hog.

This asset works across the whole of your scene this includes the character too. We found this out when we used the Polygon Fantasy Kingdom package. It made the background look stunning but it over optimized out characters.
So if you are creating a low poly game we don’t recommend using this asset. This is really for high detailed style games.
